I have been informed that the Darlington and District Canine Society have included Canaan Classes for the first time. They will be on the 1st Feb to be held at the Louisa Centre, Front Street, Stanley, Durham. Sadly this also clashes with Utility Breeds Association of Wales show that has supported the breed with Canaan Dog Classes for years. We have so few that show and we try to enter as many as possible, if show secretary’s plan to schedule Canaan Dog classes it would be great to know in advance and then we can advise if there are clashes.
We attended the Ashford, Faversham and District Canine Society’s open show at Lockmeadow in Maidstone. Judge Mr Steve Barrett had four entries and one absentee. His Best of Breed was our Micha de Solemel at Nizzana and Reserve Best of Breed was Iyar de Solemel at Nizzana both owned by Mr Ivan Kaye, Miss Alison Byrne and Miss Anne Barclay. It was Steve’s first Canaan Dog Judging assignment since attending the last breed Specific seminar in 2018. Thank you Steve, for your gentle approach and appreciation of our dogs and good luck for the future.
