With the joys of the internet we can have a quick review of shows and judges so far for this year that are having Canaan Dog Classes. I will start with Championship Shows. Next this year is Crufts at the NEC, Birmingham on Thursday 5th March. Judge Mrs Zena Thorn-Andrews has 7 Canaan Dogs entered. They will be in Hall 1 Ring 5, after Schipperke and Chow Chows. Then a short break through to May 9th at Stafford and The National where Mrs Helen Lightfoot will judge, The Scottish Kennel Club is the second of three Championship shows in May and is on 15th May at the showground in Edinburgh, Canaan Dogs there will be judged by Mrs H Fitzgibbon and the last is Bath, at Bath and Jill Peak will judge on the 23rd of May. Then Paignton & Dist at Westpoint, Clyst St. Mary on Tues August 4th with Mrs Vanessa Wegmann Williams.
Open shows that give classes are becoming rarer, we still have BUBA at Stoneleigh on 21st March with Christine Owen, Redditch at Ryton on Dunsmore on 16th May with Judge Mr Barry Blunden and last at the moment is Kingston Canine Society on Sunday 19th July and judge Sue Dykes. I think this will be her second appointment having judged a few years ago at The Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show.
